Capturing that moment and really seeing the essence of the subject.

ABOUT ME

Having grown up in Scotland (B. 1986) with the Highlands on his doorstep, Ed has been an outdoor enthusiast all of his life. He graduated with a first class BA(Hons) in Press and Editorial Photography from Falmouth University, in sunny south west England.

Ed's work has been a selected winner and shortlisted in numerous photographic awards, most recently in 2011, Ed was named in the Magenta Foundations top emerging photographers in Great Britain, Canada and the USA, and published in the Sunday Times Magazine as a rising star of British photography. He is known to strike up conversations with everyone and anyone, and is always enticed by learning about exceptional lifestyles and communities, which he believes are always much closer to home than imagined. These traits are coming in useful whilst pursuing long-term projects and assignments.

Away from his camera Ed has a broad range of qualifications, although an A in Higher French is something he would like to develop further along with picking up another language. As a keen athlete he spent five years representing Great Britain as a white water kayaker, during which time he was crowned British Champion four times, European Cup Champion and ranked 6th in the world.
